This is such a busy time of year for us…wonder why Earth Day would be busy for an Eco Friendly shop….lol.  Since Earth Day is one of our favorite holidays, we have a great coupon code for everyone!! We did have a great time this year.  Usually I take a ton of fun pictures to share with everyone but this year we had rain and lots of it.  So I would set up the booth and then pull everything into the middle again as the rain started again.  I did not even think about pictures until it was over and I was taking my tent down…a duh moment!  So all pictures in this post are from facebook or google. It was a brilliantly beautifully day because of the rain.  It was cool and refreshing and I am so grateful for my good friend Athena from Simply Eden Goat Milk Soap.  She let us borrow two of her extra tent sides so we did not get anything ruined (why we did not bring our own on a day like this could be added to the duh moments…lol).  We love her and adore all of her amazing products!  You can find her at: http://www.SimplyEden.com

She raises her own goats and they are so cute.  She brought them out to the Earth Day Celebrations and all the kids loved them!  We went out to her house a few weeks ago and had so much fun playing with her goats and their babies.   Future pictures to of that.

Tonight we are going to go and help clean up the Earth.  One of our very favorite local shops, Green The World,  is hosting this amazing event.  Here is what they have to say about it on facebook:

One of the reasons that I started my own business was to be able to donate and give to causes I believe in.  I for sure believe in helping the Earth so we have donated some fun items to tonight’s get together.

This weekend we will be participating with Earth Jam down in Salt Lake City.  This is always a fun event with amazing music, great artists and of course the coolest people to come and see everything.  Here is what they have to say on facebook: Earth Jam Productions is a non-profit organization that comes together every April in celebration of Earth Day. Ogden Nature Center Winter Holiday Bash 2012 February 24, 2013

I always say, better late then never…right?  So here are the pictures of the Ogden Nature Center Winter Holiday Bash.  This happened in December 2012 but like I said, never late then never.  I love the Ogden Nature Center.  It is such a magical place to be in nature, right in the middle of the city.

Happy New Year to you ALL!  I can’t say thank you enough to all of you that have supported us over the years.  A very big heart felt thanks to you ALL. You have all helped us to be such a success this year. We love you all and appreciate you all. To those of you that helped us recycle items by donating your trash to us, to those of you that love to buy from us, for those of you that sell our items in your shops, to those that help us set up at boutiques and festivals (or helps us take our tent down) and all of you that have offered kind words of encouragement over the years…again we send you all love and thanks for a wonderful 2012!

Our family and our business loves to pay-it-forward and do nice things for people….some of the fun things that we did in 2012:  went into a fast food place and ordered all of the staff working one of the pies on the menu and then gave them to them, donated items to a huge variety of organizations,  went through a drive thru and paid for the persons meal behind us (my kiddos love this one), donate our time to participate in activities that we believe in helping out,  do pay-it-forward listings in our Etsy shop etc..

Tell us a little about your shop…

I like to think of my shop as people’s one stop shop for Eco Friendly goods and gifts.  I love to create a huge variety of items.  I like to figure out how to make new things so I am constantly coming up with new creations or gifts.  Some days, I want to sew so I make our Recycled Sweater Coats or reusable sandwich bags, some days I want to make jewelry so I make our bottle cap earring or vintage record jewelry, some days  (ok most days on this one) I love to shop and find awesome vintage items or supplies at Thrift Stores, Yard sales or from  friends.  Our shop has become this great eclectic place to find treasures.

Ogden Nature Center Garden Tour 2012 July 25, 2012

The Ogden Nature Center puts on a Garden Tour once a year.  Their website says “The Ardent Gardener Landscape Design is pleased to host a Summer Garden Tour on Saturday, July 14th from 9am until 3pm.  Gardens in the Ogden Valley will be featured. Tickets can be purchased at the Ogden Nature Center, 966 West 12th Street, or at each of the gardens on the day of the event, or online at www.ogdennaturecenter.org.”.  We also had a great write up in the paper about it: http://www.standard.net/stories/2012/07/07/more-tour.  They had this to say about the Garden we were at:  ” The Donahoe Garden, 3837 Elkridge Trail, Eden Designed to blend with the natural environment, the garden is filled with native shrubs and flowers. Boulders found on-site are used for retaining walls and planting pockets. Boulders were also used to create a spiral herb and vegetable garden.  Art by Our Children’s Earth will be for sale in the garden. Free food samples from Zucca Trattoria.”.  Here are some of our great pictures from our fun day.
